MDA would like to express its condolence to those whose family members and friends involved in the Tsunami disaster.  MDA shared the grief and traumas of victims who suffered, perished and lost their loved one. 

MDA has donated DKK 1000.00 to Tabung Bantuan Bencana Negara and DKK 1000.00 to Tabung Bencana Tsunami Asia - Kementerian Luar Negeri.

12 Jan. 2005:  Tsunami Disaster

The Malaysian government has launched TABUNG BANTUAN BENCANA NEGARA which is meant for  victims in Malaysia and TABUNG BENCANA TSUNAMI ASIA - KEMENTERIAN LUAR NEGERI meant for victims in other Asian countries that are badly affected like Thailand, Sri Lanka and Indonesia in particular. The government has appealed  to all Malaysians to contribute generously to these funds. Donation are also welcome from all Malaysians residing abroad.

2. The Embassy of Malaysia in Stockholm will accept cash donation which will be chanelled to Wisma Putra. Other form of donation is by Bank Draft written in the name of either TABUNG BANTUAN BENCANA NEGARA or
TABUNG BENCANA TSUNAMI ASIA - KEMENTERIAN LUAR NEGERI and to be sent to this Embassy for onward transmission to Wisma Putra.

Let us all show our support, compassion and solidarity especially at this time when our fellow citizens at home in Malaysia and all our friends from the neighbouring countries are in desperate need.

11 Jan. 2005: Malaysians Visiting the US

Please be informed that in accordance to Pekeliling Imigresen Malaysia Bilangan 16 Tahun 2004 bertarikh 19 Ogos 2004, the US goverment has implemented the United States Visitor and Immigration Status Indicator Technology ( US VISIT ) upon all foreign visitors including Malaysian citizens. The visitors will be photographed and their thumb-prints will be taken at the US entry gate. This is regarded as additional precautions by the relevant US authorities.

MALAYSIANS holding Malaysian passports are subject to the above actions.
